After going to see his friend from Paris, Krazy Baldhead (Ed Banger), play his first gig in London, a chance meeting with the promoter led visualist Screan sharing the bill and VJing for Punx Soundcheck. A mutual respect for each others work led to further live appearances together and some collaboration projects. Screan has become a permanent fixture in the Punx Soundcheck setup as their VJ and video/visuals expert.
Screan's Film and Video interest started by making super 8 films and videos at home and at after school Film Clubs. He then went on to study Film Theory & Technique and at the same time was playing in guitar and electronic bands.
Already making and experimenting with music videos and computers, he first got into VJing after using early versions of VJ software with his MIDI setup and was soon VJing at parties and at live events.
He has previously lived and worked in Paris, Frankfurt and Hamburg, and now resides in London.
He describes his VJ sets as a frenetic, manic, cut-up and mash-up style, heavily influenced by vintage films and abstract art.
Besides VJing for Punx Soundcheck, he also produces & directs Music Videos.
